Singapore is always a great weekend. With its dusk till dawn timings where the workers work and the hedonists play there's always so much going on.
I love it. It's such a challenge to try and get that shot, whether it be finding a unique vantage point to get that GV (general view) shot that nobody else has managed to blag, to getting the shot of the weekend ie, Lewis retiring (again), it never stops. A frenetic blur of sound and vision, brilliant.
With Red Bull expected to win it was Vettel all the way in practice. Come qualifying though, Alonso began where he'd left off in Italy, with an intelligently crafted piece of driving to seize the initiative from Red Bull, taking pole after Vettel's messy end to Q3 culminated in a brush with the barrier just after The Anderson Bridge.
Come the race, he reinforced his position with a cool performance which only Vettel could stay with. As for Lewis and Webber's incident, that's racing and long may it continue, for it's this balls out driving we are all wanting. It's making the 2010 championship one of the most enthralling ever.
One gets the sense that the momentum has swung the way of the immensely talented Spaniard, whose guile will no doubting be beginning to rattle inside the heads of Messrs Webber, Hamilton and Vettel.
Next week we fly off to Suzuka, one of the best race tracks in the world where overtaking and racing are a must. With five drivers still in contention for this year's championship, we are set for an awesome last four races.
Bring it on...
